Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about working with us and about the loans and schemes we help with.
About our consultancy
Is Abhigamyah Fins a bank or lender?
No. Abhigamyah Fins (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. is a loan consultancy. We help you understand options, prepare documentation and approach suitable lenders. The lender alone decides approval, amount, interest rate and terms.
Do you guarantee loan approval?
No. Nobody other than the lender can decide on a loan. Be cautious of anyone who promises guaranteed approval or asks for upfront payment in exchange for it.
Do you charge a fee?
Any consultancy fee applicable to your case will be explained and agreed in writing before we begin work. We never ask you to pay a lender's charges to us personally.
Which types of customers do you work with?
MSME owners, entrepreneurs, manufacturers, traders, proprietorships, partnerships, LLPs, private limited companies and individuals seeking relevant loan services. We also work with referral partners such as CAs and business consultants.
Can you help with government schemes like CGTMSE, PMEGP or MUDRA?
Yes. We explain how the scheme works, check whether your profile appears to fit the published criteria and help prepare documentation. Sanction is decided by the implementing agency and the lender.
How is my personal information protected?
We collect only what is needed to respond to your enquiry, transmit it over encrypted connections and do not sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I talk to someone in Hindi?
Yes. Our website is available in English and Hindi, and our team can assist you in either language.
MSME & Business Loans
Can I get a business loan without collateral?
Some lenders offer collateral-free loans to eligible micro and small enterprises, often backed by the CGTMSE credit guarantee. Whether this is available depends on the lender's assessment of your profile.
Is a loan guaranteed if I apply through you?
No. We are a consultancy. The lender alone decides approval, amount, interest rate and terms after its own assessment.
Do I need Udyam registration?
Udyam registration is required for MSME classification and most MSME-linked benefits. We can explain the process if you are not yet registered.
Working Capital (CC / OD)
What is the difference between CC and OD?
Both are running limits. CC is typically secured by stock and receivables and linked to a drawing power; OD is often secured by property, fixed deposits or other assets. Specific terms vary by lender.
Is interest charged on the full limit?
Usually interest is charged on the amount utilised, though lenders may levy commitment or renewal charges. Check the sanction letter for exact terms.
Term Loan & Project Finance
Do I need a project report?
For most term loans and all scheme-linked project loans, lenders expect a project report showing costs, funding and repayment projections. We can guide you on its structure.
What is margin money?
It is the share of the project cost that the promoter contributes from own funds. The required percentage depends on the lender and, where applicable, the scheme.
Loan Against Property
How much can I borrow against my property?
Lenders typically lend a percentage of the property's assessed market value (loan-to-value), subject to your income and their policy. The exact figure is decided by the lender after valuation.
Can I use the property while it is mortgaged?
Yes, you continue to own and use the property; the lender holds a charge on it until the loan is repaid.
Home Loan
Does Abhigamyah Fins decide my home loan interest rate?
No. Interest rates and all terms are set by the lender. We help you understand and compare the offers you receive.
Can I apply jointly with a family member?
Many lenders allow co-applicants, which may improve eligibility. Lender rules on co-applicants and co-ownership vary.
Personal Loan
Will checking eligibility affect my credit score?
A formal application usually results in a lender credit enquiry. We recommend approaching only lenders that suit your profile rather than applying widely.
Do you charge for a personal loan?
Any consultancy fee, if applicable, will be communicated to you in writing before we begin. Lender fees are separate and set by the lender.
Bank Guarantee / Letter of Credit
Is a bank guarantee the same as a loan?
No. A BG is a non-fund based commitment; money flows only if the guarantee is invoked. Lenders still assess it like a credit facility and charge a commission.
Mutual Fund Services
Are mutual fund returns guaranteed?
No. Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks. Read all scheme-related documents carefully before investing.
CGTMSE
Do I apply to CGTMSE directly?
No. The borrower applies to a member lending institution. The lender seeks the guarantee cover from CGTMSE.
Is a CGTMSE-covered loan free?
No. The loan carries interest set by the lender, and an annual guarantee fee applies as notified by CGTMSE.
PMEGP
Can an existing business apply under PMEGP?
The core PMEGP scheme is for new units. A separate second-loan component for upgradation of existing PMEGP units has been available, check the official portal for current rules.
Is the subsidy paid to me directly?
No. The margin-money subsidy is routed through the financing bank and adjusted as per scheme guidelines.
MUDRA (PMMY)
Is MUDRA a separate lender?
No. MUDRA loans are given by member lending institutions such as banks, NBFCs and MFIs. MUDRA Ltd. refinances these lenders.
Is collateral required for a MUDRA loan?
MUDRA loans are generally extended without collateral, with credit guarantee support available to lenders. Final terms are set by the lender.
Stand-Up India
Can an existing business apply?
Stand-Up India is intended for greenfield enterprises, the first venture of the beneficiary in the manufacturing, services, trading or agri-allied sector.
CMEGP
Can I apply for both PMEGP and CMEGP?
A project generally cannot receive subsidy under two schemes for the same purpose. Choose the scheme that best fits your profile; we can help you compare.
